Shenghe Engineering Waste-to-Energy Power Generation: A Green Energy Revolution Turning Waste into Treasure
Recently, the 1,200-ton-per-day municipal solid waste incineration power generation project invested and constructed by Shandong Shenghe Power Engineering Design Co., Ltd. in Weifang City, Shandong Province, has been officially connected to the power grid for power generation. Adopting the internationally advanced "mechanical grate + medium-temperature sub-high pressure" technology, the project can generate 150 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which is sufficient to meet the annual electricity needs of 100,000 households.
【Project Highlights】
1. Significant Environmental Benefits:
2. Technological Innovations:
✓ Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) combined with semi-dry denitrification process
✓ Achieves "zero discharge" of leachate
✓ 100% compliance rate for fly ash stabilization treatment
3. Circular Economy Practices:
• Annual production of 300,000 slag bricks
• Waste heat provides heating for 500,000 square meters of urban area
• Creates over 200 local employment opportunities
【Technical Advantages】
The project integrates three core technologies independently developed by Shenghe Power:
According to the General Manager of Shandong Shenghe Power, "We will build this project into a benchmark for the 'zero-waste city' development model. Over the next three years, the company plans to construct five similar projects in Shandong Province, with a total daily processing capacity of 6,000 tons."
Currently listed as a "Key Environmental Protection Project of Shandong Province in 2023," the project has also received national subsidies for renewable energy power generation. Its successful operation provides a replicable and scalable "Shenghe Solution" for the resource utilization of municipal solid waste.
